Born and raised in Lebanon, ZAX Knives Owner/Maker, Ziad Abdel Sater, is an Architect by profession, keen hunter, outdoors-man and experienced stray traveler; he has always been fascinated by the great outdoors, mountains and life in the wild.
He started curiously learning the basics of the knifemaking art as a young apprentice to a local traditional knifesmith and, later building on his passion, his hunting experience, his admiration for knives and sharp-edged tools in their necessity as companions on the field, and his love for everything handmade, he perfected his craft, self-taught from various publications and posts; now an established part-time knifemaker working from his workshop in Jounieh, he is still, true to his passion, always pursuing the classic pleasing design of a functional and reliable tool for life in the outdoors.
